Since CoD released it's latest best selling entry into the franchise, I've been playing a lot of Spec Ops. This was my favourite part of MW2, but can it live up to the standard set 2 years ago?
SURVIVAL
The newest addition to the mode, survival focuses on sending waves of enemies at you, with progressively harder enemies each time.
Before playing this I was very sceptical, as it seemed as Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer/Raven were just trying to jump on the recent influx of wave-defense modes; but I was pleasantly surprised how well made some parts of it were. There is a lot of variety in the things that are able to be used, varying from simple things such as Body Armour and basics such as frags/flashbangs, to game changing things such as Delta Squad (3 AI teammates who help you kill ze evil people!) And air strikes. The difficulty system is pretty good, starting off with normal baddies with shotguns, and progressing to crack claymore teams and swathes of Juggernauts attacking you.
Even though all of the aspects I spoke about are done well, there are a few problems that sullied my experience with Survival. Firstly, the AI is ripped directly from the campaign, which works then with only one player, but falls apart when 2 or more players are playing.
But the thing that disappoints me the most is that all of the maps are just ripped from Muiltiplayer, with no special maps or features designed especially for this mode, as one of the best things of MW2's Spec Ops was the excellent map design.
All in all it's still fun, but I think I'll stick to Treyarchs undead masterpeice.
MISSIONS
The bit I was waiting for, my absolute favourite bit of MW2. I spent many hours dicking around with my mates on this, and I am sad to say MW3 does not fulfil my expectations.
In MW2 the missions were diverse missions mixing skill, stealth and balls out fun into every mission. In MW3 there are only a few good missions, with most now becoming dull and gimmicky. 3/4's of the missions are actually lifted from the single player, just withh a different weapon or "do it quickly" pasted on the HUD. There are 16 missions this time around, but all of them can be unlocked through levelling up in survival mode, losing any of MW2 way to make you try out all the missions but not have to do one you don't want to do to progress.
OVERVIEW
I am disappointed as Spec Ops was one of MW2's most underrated gems and MW3 does not live up to those standards. BUT, although this review has been slightly on the down side, I hope everyone that has MW3 gives this a shot, as it still is and will be the best part of MW3 for me.
6/10

GTA V Trailer: First Impressions Analysis
Okay, so when I was in bed last night I remembered GTA V’s trailer was coming out today, and I thought about how I never notice anything in trailers so need to look at a trailer analysis. I also had the idea that the analysis’ are always after about 25 million views and never the first impression. WELL I AM HERE TO CHANGE THAT! Yep, I sat down with a pen and paper and scribbled down what I thought at the exact moment I saw it; so without further ado, my retarded mind!
BEACHES! Yay!
Hehe ladies...
OOOHHH MOUNTAINS! Just Cause much?
Nice car...
Skyscrapers! Can’t wait to jump off them! :D
Lol ghostbusters... (why I thought this I have no idea)
Tramp... As usual...
Oil Rig! Can make big boom?
Car physics still dodgy I see...
Wait... WTF?! *rewind* *play*
IS THAT CJ?!*
ZOMGPLANES!
VINEWOOD!
And the trailer ends! Hope you enjoyed this, tell me if you want more; I loved making it!
*no racism intended

The Merits of Minecraft
I have heard lots of people talk about Minecraft in a negative way, and even though their points are valid, I think it’s time someone explained the merits of it.
#1 “But it’s not a game”
This is probably the most common reason of Minecraft hate; people say that as it’s TOO open-ended it has no objectives but the ones you make yourself. Now this was true of previous versions of Minecraft, but it is VASTLY different now. Take for example the latest update dubbed the “Adventure Update”. Do you see that?
ADVENTURRREEE!
Within this update of ADVENTUROUS proportions, there have been many rewards given for exploring; such as the awesome loot found in Strongholds. (a massive dungeon required to be found for many other things such as the “The End” dimension (pic below) soon to be added to the game.)
ALSO ZOMGDRAGONS!!!1!11
#2 “Why does it look so bad?”
This is also common, but I think that it is the exact opposite. I think the charm of Minecraft is in its ¼ steampunk ¼ impressionalist ¼ medieval and ¼ magical visuals. The blockyness adds to this effect too! And even if any of this is not liked by you, you can easily change it with a texture pack. This is also a merit in Minecraft’s favour as pretty much everything in the game can be changed, as everything is available to everyone.
#3 Multiplayer
In my opinion, Multiplayer can be played in two ways:
1. As you would in Singleplayer.
2. As Playstation Home was intended to be.
I play as number 2, as me and a couple of mates gather on our server and just chat while building stuff random. :p This works really well (apart from the fact that there is NO VOICE-CHAT! >:( ).
B-B-B-BONUS POINT!
Its fun to blow stuff up:

So, Hi! After a bit of thought, I have decided to start my own Gaming Blog. I'm going to be uploading new posts every week, along with other stuff when I have the time. I'm going to start with "The Wonders of Minecraft" and I'll focus on the credits of Minecraft as a game. So, see you then ! :)
